The hour of code week went very well. We had multiple days different classes signed up to be involved in the help desk. Students were very interested in drones. The drones are a big part of the help desk. We taught students basic block coding and how to free flight the drone. Also, Microsoft came and presented the mixed reality games. The Super hot game and the experiences were very interesting. Overall, I think the week went very well and we should continue to showcase what we do in the help desk regularly.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on my 3D snowman. Using BlocksCAD, I coded a basic snowman. The process of coding the snowman was not so successful at first. After many failed attempts at printing we finally got a finished product. This product was then touched up by using a 3D pen. I colored the hat, arms, and buttons using the pen. Overall, 3D printing helped me understand block coding a little more and was very interesting.
Nintendo Labo is a very interesting product. The ability to create your own mechanisms to use in virtual games is magnificent. Building the Labo itself is not a challenging task. As long as you are paying attention to detail it is very straight forward. Nintendo has created a way for many teenagers to use their building skills while still gaming. There are multiple games and different items to build. For instance, a fishing rod and even a gas pedal and steering wheel. Overall, I think the Nintendo Labo is a very interesting and creative product. |
